On January 31st 00:00GMT, the numbering plan of Côte d'Ivoire / Ivory Coast (country code +225) changed its format from 8 to 10 digits (national format excluding country code).
If you have contacts with a number from Côte d'Ivoire, add another contact entry to your phone with their new phone number format.
- For numbers from Côte d'Ivoire, the number should start with +225 followed by the two digit provider code. For example, +225 07 (8-digit mobile number).
- For contacts you have already been talking with, send them a Signal message and ask if they plan to change their number soon.
Signal does not support change numbers at this time.
- Notify your contacts of your phone number change and ask them to update their address books.
- Delete your account and then open the Signal app and register with your new phone number.
