On January 31st 00:00GMT, the numbering plan of Côte d'Ivoire / Ivory Coast (country code +225) changed its format from 8 to 10 digits (national format excluding country code).
If you have contacts with a number from Côte d'Ivoire, add another contact entry to your phone with their new phone number format.
- For numbers from Côte d'Ivoire, the number should start with +225 followed by the two digit provider code. For example, +225 07 (8-digit mobile number).
- For contacts you have already been talking with, send them a Signal message and ask if they plan to change their number soon.
Signal does not support change numbers at this time.
1. Notify your contacts of your phone number change and ask them to update their address books.
2. Delete your account and then open the Signal app and register with your new phone number.
