Group member labels can be used to categorize and identify yourself within your group chats. Help define roles or specializations with labels that can be customized and are unique for each group you are in.
Setting your member label
- Open a group chat and go to Group Settings.
- Tap on your name in the member list.
- Tap Add a Member Label.
- Add your label and tap on the blue checkmark or save depending on your operating system.
Changing your member label
- Open a group chat and go to Group Settings.
- Tap on your name in the member list.
- Tap on your current member label to change it.
Who can see the member label?
- Member labels are specific to each individual group. Everyone in that group can see your label.
Does the member label show in other groups?
- No. The label you set in a group will show only in that particular group.
Managing member labels for others
- This is not supported. You can set a nickname for others. The nickname you set will be shown in all chats and groups you have with that person. Nicknames are only visible to you.
